South Plymouth Youth Basketball (SPYB) Rec is a K-8th grade, co-ed Boys & Girls recreational youth basketball town league open to all of Plymouth that is based out of South Plymouth. SPYB provides an environment which emphasizes fun, safety, participation, skills development and sportsmanship. The emphasis is on the values that best serve the players. In Rec Basketball games, all players participate with mandatory playing time requirements. Skill Evaluations are used solely as an attempt to balance teams. We do not cut players in SPYB Rec, all registered players are placed on a team. Team assignment and schedule will be posted online. In addition, South Plymouth Youth Basketball also offers SPYB Travel, which is more competitive basketball for the serious player, you must be registered in SPYB Rec to be able to tryout for SPYB Travel.
